Recently, the British government released a budget plan, announcing that from October 2026, a consumption tax of £2.20 will be imposed on every 10 ml of e-cigarette oil. In the same policy document, Vaping Products Duty: Consultation Response, the government explained its plan to implement a "duty suspension" policy for e-cigarette products.

According to the document, "duty suspension" allows e-cigarette products to postpone the payment of consumption tax on the premise of meeting certain conditions, instead of paying it immediately at customs clearance. The policy is aimed at linking the cash flow of enterprises.
